Erosion and potential flooding challenges present unique problems for homeowners and developers. As climate change and subsequent adaptation become realized, accurately mapping and assessing the potential for a specific area to flood becomes crucial for sustainable development. MRD Associates’ staff has the knowledge and experience to complete the necessary engineering analysis required to assist property owners with flood hazard mapping and Base Flood Elevation (BFE) determination. We have completed numerous Hydrologic and Hydraulic analyses to determine the BFE related to a theoretical 100-year flood event. We also have experience preparing and submitting the necessary data to FEMA for incorporation into a request for Letter of Map Revision (LOMR).
