Tristan Albury has joined MRD staff

MRD is excited to announce that Tristan Albury has joined MRD staff in Destin. Tristan received his Bachelor’s in Ocean Engineering, graduating Cum Laude from Florida Institute of Technology. At Florida Tech Tristan worked as a Teaching Assistant, developing assignments and solutions in MATLAB for the Coastal Engineering Structures course. After college, Tristan gained valuable practical experience working with a major dredging company. He worked on various beach nourishment, channel maintenance, and emergency projects throughout the Gulf and East Coast. He not only learned the fundamentals of the dredging industry, but also gained experience in project management, topographic/hydrographic surveying, and dredge production. Since joining MRD, he has enhanced his experience in the design and oversite of such projects. Tristan also has a working knowledge of wave theory, coastal processes and shoreline design. He is currently assisting with various FEMA Flood Hazard Mapping projects. Tristan is certified in OSHA 30, PADI Open Water SCUBA, and US Powerboating - both Safe Powerboat Handling and in Safety & Rescue Boat.
