MRD Awarded contract for Professional Coastal Engineering Services for Sandy Gulf Beach and Shorelines in Bay County, Florida

MRD Associates, Inc. (MRD) along with Coastal Protection Engineering, LLC were awarded a continuing services contract for Professional Coastal Engineering Services for Sandy Gulf Beach and Shorelines in Bay County, Florida. The Bay County Tourist Development Council on behalf of the Bay County Board of County Commissioners sought Statements of Qualifications from qualified consultants to provide coastal engineering services related to effectively maintaining the coastal environment, and specifically, the beaches of Bay County. MRD services provided include beach erosion control project planning, design, and construction phase engineering; coastal engineering analysis and modeling, inlet sediment budget analysis, state and federal permitting for beach erosion control projects; geotechnical study, including development of offshore sand resources; construction management and observation; project certification and contract administration; collection, analysis, and reporting of topographic and bathymetric survey monitoring data; emergency storm damage response; GIS assistance, and environmental services assistance. MRD partnered with Dewberry Engineering, Athena Technologies, and SEARCH, Inc.
