MRD Awarded Contract for Coastal and Environmental Engineering Services in Okaloosa County, Florida

MRD Associates, Inc. (MRD) was awarded a continuing services contract for Coastal and Environmental Engineering Services in Okaloosa County, Florida. The Okaloosa County Purchasing Department on behalf of the Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners sought Statements of Qualifications from qualified consultants to provide comprehensive coastal and environmental engineering services related to support Okaloosa County in its on-going efforts to effectively protect and maintain its varied coastal environment as needed. MRD services provided include beach erosion control project planning, design, and construction phase engineering; coastal engineering analysis and modeling, inlet sediment budget analysis, state and federal permitting for beach erosion control projects; geotechnical study, including development of offshore sand resources; construction management and observation; project certification and contract administration; collection, analysis, and reporting of topographic and bathymetric survey monitoring data; emergency storm damage response; GIS assistance, and environmental services assistance. MRD partnered with Wetland Sciences, Inc., Northern Gulf Environmental, LLC, The Patrick Hodges Land Studio, Dewberry Engineers, inc., Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc., Athena Technologies, Inc. and GPI Geospatial, Inc.
